Nicolas Ley has extensive experience in the field of enterprise broadcast solutions and media asset management systems. Nicolas is currently working as the Vice President at Vidispine - an Arvato Systems brand since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at arvato Systems S4M GmbH as the Senior Director Solutions & Deputy Department Head from March 2016 to December 2020. In this role, they were responsible for project management, delivery, architecture, support, and development of enterprise class broadcast solutions. Nicolas also managed a multinational team of around 100 employees.
Before joining arvato Systems S4M GmbH, Nicolas worked at Avid Technology as the Senior Delivery Manager Central & Nordics from September 2014 to February 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the delivery and development of enterprise class broadcast solutions in various regions. Nicolas managed a multinational team of approximately 45 employees.
From January 2012 to August 2014, they held the position of Head of Professional Services at arvato Systems S4M GmbH, where they were responsible for the worldwide project management and implementation of enterprise media asset management solutions. Nicolas also led a team of around 20 project managers and project engineers. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager & Product Manager at the same company, with a focus on enterprise broadcast media asset management solutions and VPMS media asset management product management.
Nicolas also gained experience as a Product Manager & Research Scientist at iPharro Media GmbH from April 2007 to July 2008, and as a Research Scientist at Fraunhofer IGD from April 2007 to December 2007.
Nicolas Ley is currently a candidate for a Master of Business Administration - Executive MBA at the Technical University of Munich, which they started in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2021. In 2019, they also completed the Bertelsmann - Executive Leadership program at INSEAD. Prior to these experiences, they participated in the High Potential Program in Organizational Leadership at Arvato Systems from 2016 to 2017. In 2012, they completed the "On Set" - Management Development program, also at Arvato Systems. Nicolas obtained a degree in Media Technology from Technische Universität Ilmenau between 2000 and 2006. Nicolas completed their secondary education at Görres Gymnasium Düsseldorf, where they obtained their Abitur in 1999.
