Raymond Archer

Raymond Archer has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Raymond is currently a Research Scientist at View, Inc since November 2018. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2018, they worked at Primus Power where they held multiple roles, including Director of Electrode Development and Staff Scientist. In these positions, they were responsible for electrode development, testing, reliability, failure analysis, and providing technical direction. Raymond also worked closely with vendors and third parties in developing textured surfaces.

Before Primus Power, Raymond worked at Rennovia from 2010 to 2013, where they held the positions of Senior Staff Scientist and Staff Scientist. In these roles, they played a crucial role in developing chemical catalysis routes and discovering catalysts through novel materials synthesis techniques.

Prior to Rennovia, Raymond worked as a Staff Scientist on a temporary basis at Symyx Technologies in 2009. Raymond started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2009.

Raymond Archer completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Canterbury from 1999 to 2002. During the same period, they also pursued Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from the same institution. Later, from 2003 to 2009, Raymond achieved a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech.
