Issa Ahmed

Issa Ahmed is a Cyber Security Engineer at Viewpost since March 2025, specializing in cloud security. Prior experience includes serving as a Cyber Security Analyst for Louisville Metro Government from June 2022 to February 2025, where Issa focused on vulnerability management, incident response, and data loss prevention strategies. Additional roles within the cybersecurity domain include Security Operations Center Engineer and Analyst, involving the investigation of phishing incidents and security threat analysis. Prior to this, Issa was a Cyber Security Intern at Village Book Builders and gained early experience as a Junior Database Administrator at National Oil Corporation of Kenya Samakard Ltd, where significant improvements in database performance were achieved. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Networks and Security from Colorado State University and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, expected to be completed by May 2025.
