Daniel Eberts

Lead AI Scientist at ViewSonic

Daniel Eberts has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Working Student at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where they re-implemented a testing GUI for a Mars rover prototype, contributed to a telepresence research project, and added OpenGL rendering code to a simulation environment.

In 2014, Eberts co-founded Ocuplus and worked as a Software Engineer. Daniel developed a parser for bilingual dictionaries, making them accessible for visually impaired students, and researched ways to quickly find important information in documents.

In 2017, Eberts joined KUKA Robotics as an Application Engineer. Daniel collaborated on a pilot project involving mobile robots for wafer transporting and tested fleet management software.

During their tenure at Mindtronic AI from 2017 to 2021, Eberts held multiple roles. Daniel worked as an AI Scientist, conducting research and contributing to projects, and later became a Section Manager.

Currently, Eberts is the Lead AI Scientist at ViewSonic, where they utilize their expertise in artificial intelligence.

Daniel Eberts has a solid education background, with a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree. Daniel completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science in Robotics, Cognition, and Intelligence at the same institution from 2010 to 2013. During their studies, in 2011, Daniel briefly attended Reykjavik University, focusing on Machine Learning and Mechatronics.
