Eric Liu

Eric Liu has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Eric is currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at ViewSonic since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at 台達電子 from April 2019 to April 2021, where they were responsible for UI component library development.

Before that, Eric worked at HTC as a Senior Engineer from May 2016 to January 2019. Eric was involved in front-end development for VIVEPORT(TM) Developer Console site and its administration site, and collaborated with multiple team members to ensure the work met design specifications and client goals.

Eric also worked as a Senior Engineer at APEX International Financial Engineering Res. & Tech. Co., Ltd from October 2013 to June 2014. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing a new mechanism for displaying real-time stock quote data using ASP.NET SignalR.

Prior to that, Eric worked at 1st Light Technology Inc. as an IT Consultant from March 2013 to August 2013, where they created web-based software products and forms for a real estate development company.

Eric also has experience as an IT Specialist at Aplix Corporation from September 2011 to December 2012, where they designed official websites using WordPress and MySQL and performed scripting for automatic tasks on Windows/Linux servers.

Their career began at Trend Micro, where they worked as a Release Engineer from May 2010 to August 2011. In this role, they were responsible for planning, designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating application technical components and environments. Eric also created system technical architecture designs, including software and hardware component selection and integrations.

Overall, Eric Liu has a strong background in software development, front-end engineering, and UI component library development, with experience in various industries such as electronics, financial engineering, and IT consulting.

Eric Liu received their Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at National Dong Hwa University from 2001 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Eric obtained the following: Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) from (ISC)² in February 2023, Associate of (ISC)² in January 2023, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in January 2023, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)² in December 2022, and they became an (ISC)² Candidate in August 2022.
