Stephen Choi

Stephen Choi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Stephen began their career as an Instructor at Kwangwoon University in 2004. Stephen then worked as a Prototype Engineer at a startup from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, they joined IBM as a PhD Research Intern, where they evaluated performance and implemented features for the POWER7 processor. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer for UMD, US Government. In 2012, they joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer. Following that, they served as a Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics America from 2014 to 2017, where they worked on large-scale data processing and machine learning projects. Stephen then worked at Apple as a Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2019, focusing on data processing and developing analytics platforms. In 2019, they joined Verily Life Sciences as a Senior Software Engineer. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of ViFiVE Inc., where they are revolutionizing in-person clinic visits with AI technology for musculoskeletal disorders patients.

Stephen Choi has a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university.
