Daniel Beavin, MS

Daniel Beavin, MS has extensive work experience in the security field. Theircareer began in 2008 when they started as the Owner/Engineer at Beavin Computer Group. Daniel then moved on to the University of Southern Indiana in 2011 as an IT Support Technician. In 2012, they began their role as Infrastructure Security Engineer at Accuride Corporation. In 2017, they began working at Indiana University Health, first as Manager, Information Security Red Team, then as Principal Security Architect, and finally as Senior Security Researcher. In 2019, they began working at both Cobalt.io as a Lead Penetration Tester and Synack Red Team as a Red Team Member. Daniel currently works at Vigilant as Vice President of Security Services and Director - Offensive Security Operations.

Daniel Beavin, MS obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Southern Indiana between 2009 and 2012. Daniel then went on to receive their Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University in 2016. In 2017, they were awarded the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)². In 2020, they earned the Junior Penetration Tester from eLearnSecurity, and in 2022 they were certified as a Human Trafficking Investigator from McAfee Institute.
