Chris Long

Chris Long has extensive experience in various roles related to Information Technology, DevOps, and Systems Engineering. Chris currently serves as the Director of DevOps at ViiMed® since 2023. Prior to this, Chris worked at Red Hat from 2014 to 2023, where they held several positions including Senior Principal Information System Engineer (Data Architect), Principal Systems Administrator, and Senior System Engineer. Before Red Hat, Chris worked at Cutting Edge from 2012 to 2014 as an IT Technical Manager and IT Manager. Chris also worked at Pivotel Satellite from 2011 to 2012 as a Systems Manager, and at Kanuka Studio from 2010 to 2011 as a Snr Technical Director. Earlier in their career, Chris held roles at Hoodlum Active, Hinterland Toyota, The Kaizen Group, Hdigital, and Photon VFX. Chris has a diverse background and expertise in IT management, infrastructure design, software development, and process improvement.

Chris Long attended Fordham University from 2016 to the present, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Service Now Fundamentals Training, Developing a Learning Mindset, Overcoming Procrastination, Continuous Delivery with GitLab, RPA, AI, and Cognitive Tech for Leaders, The Six Morning Habits of High Performers, and Using Python for Automation.
