Kevin van Giessen

Kevin van Giessen has a diverse work experience in various companies. Kevin started their career in 2013 as the Chief Chassis & Health and Safety Officer at Forze Delft. In this role, they were a full-time board member of the Forze Hydrogen Electric Racing D:DREAM-team at Delft University of Technology and led the Chassis department. Kevin also designed and built a race car and supported students with structure/impact analysis assignments.

In 2014, Kevin worked as a Teaching Assistant at Delft University of Technology for courses AE1108-II Aerospace Mechanics of Materials and AE1111-I: Exploring Aerospace Engineering.

In 2015, they interned as a Materials Technologist at Rolls-Royce, where they focused on critical parts lifing and integrity.

From 2016 to 2017, Kevin worked as a Teaching Assistant at Delft University of Technology for courses AE1130-II Dynamics and AE2111-II Aerospace Design & Systems Engineering Elements.

In 2017, they joined Rolls-Royce again as a Project Systems Engineer in the UltraFan™ Project as part of an engineering graduate traineeship.

Kevin continued their traineeship at Rolls-Royce and held various roles including Aircraft Performance Engineer, Flight Test Engineer, Project Manager in the Design & Make division, and Electronics & Software Engineer in Controls R&T.

In 2019, Kevin joined VIKTOR as a Software Engineer, focusing on backend development.

Kevin van Giessen began their education at Laar en Berg from 2005 to 2010. Kevin then attended Delft University of Technology from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Afterward, they pursued further education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a BSc in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Lastly, Kevin completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2013 to 2017.
