Dan Triplett

Dan Triplett has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medical device research and development. Dan is currently the Vice President of Research and Development at Vilex, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2021, they worked at Archipelago Engineering and Design, llc, where they founded the company and focused on product design and development primarily in orthopedics, trauma, and general surgery.

Dan also has experience as the Senior Director of Product Development at Lincotek Medical from 2019 to 2021, as well as the Director of Product Development at Surgical Frontiers from 2015 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Principal Engineer at HZO in 2014, Principal Engineer and Manager of Internal Product Development at IMDS from 2009 to 2014, Principal Engineer at Medicine Lodge in 2008, Principle Engineer at Facet Solutions from 2005 to 2008, Senior Engineer at Medicine Lodge from 2003 to 2005, and R&D Engineer at Bard Access Systems from 1997 to 2003. So, they have a solid background in engineering, management, and leadership within the medical device industry.

Dan Triplett attended the University of Utah from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design. Dan also obtained a Registered Professional Engineer Certification from the State of Utah in March 2000.
