Eyal Eshet

Eyal Eshet has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience and software development. Eyal is currently working as a User Experience, Accessibility Specialist at Vincit since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Thinger Solutions Oy from 2017 to 2021, where they served as a User Experience Specialist and Frontend Developer, working on various projects in logistics, construction, real-estate management, asset management, and shipyard.

Eyal also has experience in academia, having worked as a University Teacher at Åbo Akademi University from 2010 to 2016, teaching a course on User-Centered Design of Information Systems. During this time, they also served as a Doctoral Researcher, focusing on researching the UX/interaction design profession and professionals, with a particular emphasis on user research and user involvement in mobile system design and development. Additionally, they worked as a Course Assistant during their time at Åbo Akademi University.

Earlier in their career, Eyal worked at Mansoft tietotekniikka Oy as a Software Developer and Designer from 2004 to 2008 and again from 2009 to 2010, where they developed and designed tailored web systems for industry clients, utilizing tools and technologies such as Photoshop, VisualStudio, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.

In 2010, they also worked as a Usability Specialist at the Quadruple project for a limited period.

Eyal Eshet completed their education in a chronological order. Eyal started their academic journey in 2002 at Turku University of Applied Sciences, where they earned their BBA degree in Information Systems in 2005. Following this, they attended Åbo Akademi University from 2006 to 2008, pursuing their M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems. Eyal then continued their studies at Åbo Akademi University from 2010 to 2016 and obtained a D.Sc. in Economics. During their doctoral program, their research focused on Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and Information Systems.
