Janne Rönkkö

Janne Rönkkö has a diverse work experience in the field of software architecture, development, and IT. Janne started their career at Tampere University of Technology as a Research Assistant and later became a Course Assistant. After that, they joined Cybercom Group: Cybercom Plenware Oy as a Software Engineer.

In 2010, Janne joined Vincit as a Software Engineer and eventually became a Senior Software Architect. During their time at Vincit, they worked on software development projects, focusing on improving version control, code review, and CI practices. Janne also participated in recruitment by conducting technical interviews. From December 2017 to November 2020, Janne served as the Head of IT, leading Vincit's internal IT team and developing internal services. Janne automated account and access management using technologies like Python, Django, GCP, PostgreSQL, Ansible, and SAML.

Currently, Janne holds the position of Senior Software Architect at Vincit, where they utilize cloud and software architecture expertise, as well as DevOps practices, to ensure smooth project execution. Janne provides training and consultations on version control and code review practices and conducts technical interviews for future colleagues.

Janne Rönkkö obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology from 2003 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned several certifications including the Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate certification from Microsoft, obtained in July 2023, and the Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google Cloud, obtained in May 2018.
