Simon Oppenheimer has a diverse work experience. Simon started their career at Oakland Zoo as a Membership Sales Specialist from June 2017 to January 2018. Simon then worked at Koreana Plaza as a Cashier from May 2018 to September 2018, where they handled cash, stocked shelves, provided customer service in both English and Korean, and assisted with sales at monthly festivals.

In 2019, Simon joined Wesleyan University as a Research Assistant, assisting PhD student Muhammad N. Arshad and Professor Janice Naegele with analyzing neural pathways in epilepsy animal models. Their responsibilities included analyzing brain sections to determine the growth and migration of neuronal cells. Simon worked in this role from January 2019 to August 2021.

Currently, Simon is employed at VineSight. Simon started as a Development Intern in August 2021 and transitioned to the role of Senior Data Scientist in January 2022, which is their current position.

Simon Oppenheimer attended Head-Royce School from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Simon then pursued further education at Wesleyan University from 2017 to 2021. At Wesleyan University, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Neuroscience & Neurobiology and East Asian Studies, with a concentration in Korean and an emphasis on Philosophy. In 2019, Simon also obtained a certification in Korean Language and Literature from Sungkyunkwan University.
