Vimal Agarwal

Vimal Agarwal is a seasoned professional in embedded software development and vehicle computer systems, currently serving as the Vehicle Computer Software Manager at VINFAST since May 2023, where contributions include the integration of the Central Vehicle Computer for next-gen software-defined vehicles and leading a team of engineers for the Vehicle Control Unit. Previously, Vimal held the position of Associate Director of Embedded Software at Ola Electric, overseeing the technology strategy for the in-vehicle operating system and ensuring the successful transition to a centralized architecture. Vimal's extensive experience also includes roles at GE Transportation, where product management and system engineering for the LOCOTROL® system were key responsibilities, and at Caterpillar Inc., focusing on embedded software for various subsystems in off-highway vehicles. Vimal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation from Vellore Institute of Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore.
