Weiwei Cheng is a seasoned professional in functional safety engineering, with extensive experience in both development and project management across various companies in the automotive and automation sectors. Weiwei began as a Development Engineer at Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH from 2008 to 2014, contributing to safety-related firmware and sensor platforms, before moving to Robert Bosch GmbH from 2014 to 2018, where responsibilities included developing monitoring software and managing functional safety activities for international projects. Subsequently, Weiwei took on the role of System Safety Expert focused on autonomous driving projects before transitioning to VINFAST in 2025 as the Director of FuSa Design Head, leading global safety initiatives.
