Charles Hooker

Charles Hooker has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Charles is currently working as the Director of Development at Vinformatix since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System (LASERS) for multiple roles from January 2012 to February 2022. In their role as an IT Application Programmer/Analyst, Charles reviewed existing systems, provided guidance on moving to a standards-based enterprise architecture, and assisted other developers with designs and implementation strategies. Charles also worked with business users to roll out a new technology platform that matched their business processes more effectively. Before joining LASERS, Charles worked at Conduent from 2005 to 2012. Charles held roles as a System Developer Senior Specialist, System Developer, and Data Analyst. Their responsibilities included participating in evaluations of hardware and software options, generating ad hoc reports, planning processing and telecommunications capacities, and providing production control. Charles started their career as an IT Supervisor at Performance Coatings from 1997 to 2005. Charles determined the organization's long-term systems needs, acquired hardware and software, and maintained web content.

Charles Hooker earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) from Louisiana State University. Charles attended the university from 1999 to 2004.
