Romain Thomas

Romain Thomas has worked in the wine industry since 2008. Romain began their career as a Stagiaire in Recherche et Développement at Savena in 2008, followed by a Stagiaire in Recherche fondamentale at Plant and Food Research in 2009. In 2011, they became a Caviste at Nicolas, and then held various roles at Nicolas from 2012 to 2014, including Chef de projet web, Assistant webmaster, and Assistant Responsable Marketing Fidélité. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at SYSTEME U as Chef de produits Vins and Responsable Développement des Ventes et Merchandising Vins. Thomas then moved to Vinventions, where they held the roles of Nomacorc Product Manager & WQS Brand Expert and Brand Manager WQS et WMS.

Romain Thomas attended L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers from 2006 to 2010, earning an Ingénieur Agroalimentaire degree in agroalimentaire. From 2010 to 2012, they attended ESA, L'Ecole supérieure des agricultures, where they earned a Master International Vintage - Diplôme National de Master en Sciences et technologies, with a mention agronomie-agroalimentaire, and a specialization in Viticulture et Oenologie, marketing du vin. During the same period, they also attended Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, earning a Master Engenharia Agronomica especializaçao Vitivinicultura degree. Finally, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Corvinus University of Budapest, earning a Master’s degree engineer in food specialization on oenology and wine management.
