Fernando Raposo

Fernando Raposo has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Fernando currently works at Vio.com as an Engineering Manager since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the same company as a Senior Data Engineer from November 2018 to November 2022.

Before joining Vio.com, Fernando was employed at PSafe Tecnologia S/A as a Big Data Engineer/Analyst from December 2015 to November 2018. In this role, they collaborated with various teams to provide intuitive dashboard reports and graphs, built data ingestion pipelines, and integrated with mobile ad networks and mediation platforms APIs.

Fernando also has experience as a Co-Founder and Developer at Comprei Ganhei, a price comparison and coupon/cashback website. From January 2014 to December 2015, they played a key role in designing, improving, and pivoting the business strategy. Fernando also developed the website using Java, VRaptor, Jetty, MySQL, Memcached, Linux, and managed Amazon servers.

From January 2010 to June 2013, Fernando worked as a Senior Java Developer at Gazeus. Fernando was responsible for developing and maintaining J2EE systems, integrating online payment options, and deploying games on social platforms.

During their early career, Fernando worked as a Freelance Web Developer from November 2006 to February 2010, providing systems development services to various industries. Fernando also gained experience as a Web Developer and Intern/Trainee at Tools Software from November 2001 to November 2006. In these roles, they developed and migrated web and client/server systems for financial institutions using J2EE/Struts, ASP, Visual Basic, HTML, JavaScript, and Powerbuilder technologies.

Fernando's professional journey began as a Member at EjCM - Empresa Júnior de Consultoria em Microinformática (Junior Enterprise of IT Consultancy) from September 1999 to July 2000.

Fernando Raposo completed their B.S. in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1999 to 2009. Before that, from 1994 to 1997, they obtained a Technician degree in Electronics from Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca.

In addition to their formal education, Fernando Raposo has obtained several certifications. In 2006, they became a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform through Prometric. Furthermore, they have completed various Coursera courses, including "Exploratory Data Analysis" in March 2016, "Getting and Cleaning Data" in November 2015, "R Programming" in October 2015, and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" in October 2015.
