John Trest

John Trest has a strong background in developing and implementing eLearning courses and training programs. John has experience leading global teams and spearheading the development of award-winning courses that incorporate various multimedia technologies such as 2D and 3D animation, live action filming, video, and graphic art. John has expertise in designing and implementing training courses on a range of topics including Security Awareness, Harassment, Ethics, Privacy, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI, DEI, and HR compliance. Additionally, John has led initiatives in generative AI, microlearning, gamified learning, experiential learning, and adaptive learning to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention. John has also been responsible for developing comprehensive product and curriculum strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and workforce readiness. John Trest attended the Academy of Art University from 1999 to 2000, studying Digital Arts. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med Biology from Birmingham-Southern College, where they studied General Biology and Fine Art from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their education, John holds certifications such as the Certified Professional in Talent Development from ATD CI, obtained in April 2018, and the PMP - Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, obtained in October 2014. John also completed certificates in "Designing for Behavior Change" and "Getting Started with Gamification" from The eLearning Guild in 2017.
