Dapeng Zhang

Dapeng Zhang is a skilled transportation economist with extensive experience in economic analysis, currently serving as Lead Transportation Economist at Hyperloop One since March 2016. In this role, Dapeng Zhang oversees economic assessments related to fundraising, product development, feasibility studies, and projects in North America, the Middle East, India, and Europe, focusing on project economics, revenue, costs, and finance. Additionally, Dapeng Zhang has been a Committee Member of the Standing Committee on Intercity Passenger Rail (AR010) at the Transportation Research Board since April 2016 and previously worked as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from September 2011 to February 2016. Dapeng Zhang holds degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Renmin University of China.
