VP, Product & Programs at Virgin Hyperloop

Don oversees product development and programs, leading the company’s efforts to define and deliver its products and leading the program management of product development in terms of scope, schedule and costs. He also manages all aspects of intellectual property.

With an extensive background in legal counsel, Don has provided guidance on matters related to intellectual property including patent strategy, patent prosecution, and trademarks.

Prior to Virgin Hyperloop, Don served as intellectual property counsel at Qualcomm, where he advised on System on Chip, semiconductor, and packaging technologies. He supervised outside counsel preparation, prosecution, and pre-filing prior art searches and analysis. He also advised inventors and management on a variety of issues from patents, licenses, open-source, and copyright, among others.

Don holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University.
