Yumo Chi

Yumo Chi is a Software Engineer at VAST since February 2024, having previously served as a Full Stack Engineer at Hyperloop One from September 2022 to February 2024. At Hyperloop One, Yumo collaborated with engineers on both front-end and back-end development of web applications, focusing on user interface design and server-side logic. Prior experience includes a role as a Full Stack Engineer at Reconstruct Inc from May 2019 to August 2022, where significant contributions were made in developing 2D viewer capabilities, creating 3D solutions for BIM model alignment, and enhancing performance of mesh loading by approximately 50%. Yumo also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at RAAMAC from October 2016 to May 2019, where skills in designing 2D interfaces and modifying meshes for BIM models were utilized. Early experience includes an internship as a Field Engineer at Bolt Construction. Yumo holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 2018.
