Emily Riddle currently serves as the Head of Licensing at Virgin since June 2022. Previously, Emily held various roles at British American Tobacco from September 2018 to June 2022, including Trade Mark Counsel focusing on M&A and commercial IP agreements. A significant portion of Emily's career was spent at Baker McKenzie from September 2009 to December 2018, progressing from Trainee Solicitor to Senior Associate with expertise in corporate mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and commercial law. Emily has also gained experience with Apple in legal counsel roles, providing support on commercial contracts and consumer law issues, and interned at Synovate in market research. Emily holds a BA/MA Cantab. in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law & Practice from the University of Oxford, and a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice from The College of Law.
