Sam Kelly currently serves as the Chief Experience Officer at Virgin, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this role, Sam was with AKQA from September 2013 to November 2024, where responsibilities included serving as Global Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director, driving the company’s global growth and overseeing major pitches for leading brands. Earlier experience includes roles such as Head of Marketing and Business Development at VML (formerly GT, WPP), New Business Director at Outside Line, and Head of Business Development at Interoute. Sam began a career in the industry after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Industry Management from Buckinghamshire New University between January 1995 and January 1998.
