Amrie Grammer

Dr. Amrie Grammer is a board member at Virginia Bio and a former research investigator and group leader at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Grammer has also worked as a self-employed immunologist and a consultant for several companies in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Grammer received their undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 and their PhD in immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1991. Amrie did their post-doctoral fellowship at UTSW from 1991 to 1999, during which time they also worked as a research investigator for the NIH’s Autoimmunity Branch. In 2006, they left the NIH to start their own consultancy business.

Since 2013, Dr. Grammer has been working with Artemis, an online pharmacological clinical interface program that provides quick access to key information for pediatric and neonatal healthcare practitioners. Amrie has also served on the board of directors for several biotech companies.

Amrie Grammer completed a PhD in Immunology at UTSW Med. Ctr. at Dallas, followed by an MS in Pharmacology at the University of Virginia. Amrie completed their undergraduate studies with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Virginia.
