Virginia Scuba was founded in 2000 as Northern Virginia’s first professional dive facility offering full training and support for both recreational and technical diving. Since new ownership took over in 2012, we’ve continued that tradition with an added focus on building one of the strongest professional staffs in the dive industry.

Our team offers a full range of SSI recreational and Extended Range courses. With four Instructor Trainers on staff, we created the Virginia Scuba Internship Program to prepare dive professionals beyond standard agency requirements. Before teaching independently, our staff must complete additional training tasks and evaluations under senior team members. They also complete an annual review that includes skills demonstrations, timed swims, and a written exam, helping ensure every student receives an exceptional dive experience.

Virginia Scuba also offers local and international dive travel for divers of all experience levels. From nearby quarries to some of the world’s best ocean destinations, we love helping people get in the water and explore with confidence. If you’re looking for easy, well-supported dive travel, our team is always happy to help plan your next trip.

We provide trimix and nitrox blending, including deco mixes and pure O2. Our air is tested quarterly, with results posted at the fill station. Oxygen service for regulators and valves is performed in a positive-pressure, HEPA-filtered oxygen clean room, the only one of its kind in the area. Our facility includes 17,000 cubic feet of compressed gas storage, two compressors, booster pumps, mixing panels, cylinder service capabilities, and a full regulator service shop.
