Max Liu

Max Liu began their work experience as a Financial Analyst at Citi from April 2012 to April 2013. Max then worked as a Business Development Consultant at Inertia | Product Design + Engineering + Manufacturing from April 2016 to September 2016. Following this, Max worked as a Premier Banker at HSBC from January 2019 to March 2020. Max then became the Managing General Partner at Nova Wealth Asset Management starting in August 2020. Currently, Max is employed as a Financial Planner at Canada Life starting in December 2022.

Max Liu completed their education with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Financial Analysis and Risk Management from the University of Waterloo in the years 2010 to 2015. Max then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Corporate Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Max also obtained several certifications including a Certificate in Advanced Investment Advice from the Canadian Securities Institute, a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation from the same institute, a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) certification from Advocis, and completed a course in Financial Modelling and Fundamental Analysis at the University of Waterloo. Max also obtained the LLQP certification from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and the RIBO certification from the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO).
