Simon Woods

Simon Woods is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in leadership positions across various organizations. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Viridium Gruppe since August 2025, Simon is also a Co-Founder of Barca Business Consulting. Previously, Simon was the Group CFO for Resolution Life from 2021 to June 2025, and held significant roles at EY from 2014 to 2021, where Simon led global initiatives in response to Covid-19, the IBOR transition, and Brexit for insurance clients. Prior to EY, Simon had a robust career at Goldman Sachs, UBS, HSBC, and PwC, specializing in debt capital markets and risk management. Simon holds a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford.
