Thyag Venkatesan has over twenty years of professional experience. Thyag began their career in 1998 as a Software Engineer at National Computer Systems. In 1999, they moved to Knowledge Engineering as a Software Engineer. A year later, they joined Scient as an Associate Consultant. In 2001, they became a Consultant at NetDecisions. In 2004, they became an Entrepreneur at Caxton Labs. From 2005 to 2011, they worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Senior Manager, Consulting. During their time at PwC, they were responsible for Business Development and Advisory Services/Project Experience. In 2011, they joined Credit Suisse as CRO & Regulatory Change (APAC), where they set up the APAC function & operating model for Regulatory Change. Thyag also held roles in APAC Change Governance and Planning & Portfolio Management PB APAC. In 2017, they became Co-Founder of Virkware.

Thyag Venkatesan began their educational career at Bishop Cotton Boys' School from 1988 to 1994. Thyag then attended Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from 1994 to 1998. Thyag then went on to pursue an MBA in General Management at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from 2002 to 2004.
