Dr. Sarah Hallberg

Dr. Sarah Hallberg has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Dr. Sarah currently serves as the Medical Director at Virta Health, a company specialized in developing therapies for chronic diseases using advanced biochemistry and digital tools. Prior to this, they were the Chair of the Board of Directors at The Nutrition Coalition, where they worked towards strengthening national nutrition policy based on conclusive scientific evidence. Additionally, Dr. Hallberg has served as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Sarah also held positions at IU Health, including Medical Director of the Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program and Internal Medicine Physician.

Dr. Sarah Hallberg, DO, MS, ACSM-CEP, FOMA, FNLA attended Dekalb High School for their secondary education. Dr. Sarah then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Illinois State University from 1990 to 1994. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the same institution between 1994 and 1996. Dr. Hallberg went on to attend Des Moines University, where they pursued a Medical degree from 1998 to 2002.
