Amit Rathi

Amit Rathi is the Vice President of Engineering at Virtana. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Engineering at BMC Software from October 2019 to July 2022. There, they were responsible for bringing together 1000+ people organization across US, Canada, India, Italy, UK, and Israel to deliver 30+ products in SAAS serving 1 million users using continuous delivery + agile. Amit also conceptualized and delivered the development platform and shared services like User management, tenant management, notifications and DLAC used by multiple Helix products. Furthermore, Amit Rathi delivered an AI/ML powered recommendation engine for automated remediations and built a policy driven incident and event resolution orchestration service to resolve millions of monitoring events and service tickets – Intelligent Automation. Amit also built on-premise Helix container delivery platform for large customers and built a dedicated PSR team for automated scale testing for all products across Helix. Lastly, they enabled joint-development and GTM initiatives with our customers & partners. Before their time as Senior Director of Engineering, Amit Rathi was the Director R&D at BMC Software from July 2016 to October 2019 and the Sr Manager, R & D, Bladelogic Server Automation, BMC Software from October 2012 to June 2016.

Amit Rathi received their B.E. in Computer Science from Amravati University and their B.E. in Computer Science from Government College of Engineering, Amravati. Amit then went on to receive their M.S. in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Finally, they received their Master of Science in Computer Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
