Brett McCrae has a diverse work experience that spans different roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Head Guide and Head of Business Development for a professional fly fishing guide service until 2011. In 2012, they began their career in the political sector, serving as a National Security Program Intern at Third Way. Brett then worked as a Legislative Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives before returning to Third Way as a Policy Consultant in the National Security Program.
In 2013, Brett joined Praescient Analytics as a Consultant and later became the Strategic Partnerships Lead. During their time at Praescient Analytics, they focused on data modeling and analysis platforms, such as Palantir Gotham and Ayasdi Iris, while providing expertise and training to non-profit organizations.
In 2014, Brett moved on to Helicase LLC, where they served as the Director of Analytic Development. After two years, they joined Dataminr as a Client Engagement Manager and later became a Senior Manager in Customer Success.
Brett'smost recent experience at Virtru includes roles as a Senior Manager, Director, and Senior Director of Customer Success. Currently, Brett holds the position of Vice President of Customer Success at Virtru.
Brett McCrae attended Orange High School from 2001 to 2005. Brett then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Brown University, graduating in 2009. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs at American University, specializing in U.S. Foreign Policy and Defense, which they completed between 2010 and 2012.
