Peter Nancarrow

Peter Nancarrow has extensive experience in information security, compliance, and technology operations. Peter is currently the Director of SRE, Security, and IT at Virtru, where they oversee information security and compliance programs, as well as the site reliability engineering team. Throughout their tenure at Virtru, Peter has achieved various certifications and authorizations, including FedRAMP and ANSSI CSPN. Peter has also led a major technical transformation in adopting Kubernetes and cloud-native GitOps methodologies. Prior to their role at Virtru, Peter held managerial positions at Cotton & Company LLP and was a Senior Associate at Schellman & Company, LLC. In addition, they co-founded Tasting Grounds in 2021.

Peter Nancarrow completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech in 2014. Peter also obtained certifications in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2018, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from Cloud Security Alliance in 2017, and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2017.
