Richard Chen

Richard Chen is an experienced engineering professional with a background in cybersecurity, network security, and software development. Currently serving as a Federal Engineer at Virtru since April 2022, Richard focuses on data-centric encryption and attribute-based access control in zero-trust environments. Prior roles include Lead Engineer at Parsons Corporation, Lead Engineer at Cellcrypt, Inc., and Senior Software Engineer positions at Applied Security, Inc. and XStreamHD/Wireless Ventures. Earlier experience includes a role as Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation and Cisco Systems, along with a position as Field Engineer at General Electric. Richard holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
