Simon McGhee

Simon McGhee is an experienced professional in the financial services industry, currently serving as ETP and Fixed Income Sales Trader at Virtu Financial since January 2024, where responsibilities include developing a fully automated SOR for fixed income clients and trading ETFs and EU/US rates and credit. Previously, Simon held significant roles at BLUEFIN EUROPE LLP as Partner and Director of ETF Business Development, and at BlackRock as part of the iShares Capital Markets team focused on ETF business development and relationship management. Additional experience includes positions at Barclays Capital as Portfolio/ETF Execution Trader, Blue Oak Capital as Pan European Sales Trader, and earlier roles in equity dealing and stockbroking. Simon is also noted for leadership as the 1st XV Rugby Captain for the Bank of England RFC.
