Iara Kozan

Iara Kozan has been involved in the architecture and digital media industries since 1986. Iara co-founded KZN Arquitetura, a diversified architecture design and consulting firm, in 1986. As a registered architect in Brazil, they experienced all the duties and functions of the practice, managing client contacts, new client relationships, budgets, billing and other administrative tasks. In 2010, they co-founded Virtual Grounds Interactive, LLC, a digital media company dedicated to providing web and mobile solutions to cultural institutions. Iara was the Managing Partner and focused on presenting history related content through web-based applications for museums, historical sites, universities, and heritage destinations.

Iara Kozan obtained their Master of Science in Information Systems from South University in 2017, with a focus in Information Systems and Emerging Technology. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch from Universidade Federal do Paraná in 1988, with a focus in Architecture and Urban Planning. In 2018, they obtained a Certification of Membership from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF).
