Tom Mann

Tom Mann has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Tom started their career in 2003 as a Signals Officer & Electronic Warfare Specialist in the British Army, where they were responsible for secure communications and operation of various comms platforms. Tom then joined Mitton Environmental in 2008 as a Systems Engineer, leading the integration of logic controller networks with client WAN for communication of Command & Control systems. In 2012, they moved to Imerja Limited as a Network Security Engineer, providing security and infrastructure support for government and private sector clients. Currently, Tom is working at VirtualArmour since 2015, initially as a Network Security Engineer and now as a Senior Network Security Engineer. In their current role, they serve as a firewall and security technical lead for a diverse client base, delivering projects, migrations, and implementations while providing technical leadership and input to senior figures and decision makers.

Tom Mann attended the University of Wales, Newport from 2009 to 2012 where they obtained a HND in Control Systems Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from various institutions including Palo Alto Networks (ACE), Cisco (Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP), and Juniper Networks (JNCIS-ENT and JNCIS-SEC), although the specific dates of when these certifications were obtained are not provided.
