Sergio Barrera Mayo

Sergio Barrera Mayo has a strong background in XR technologies and software and hardware management. Sergio started their career in 2000 as a Teacher of Computer Science and Mathematics at Josefinos de Murialdo. In 2001, they joined Software Bizkaia Solutions as a Lead Programmer and also served as a Lecturer at the Master in Virtual Reality. In 2003, they became the CTO at Virtualware, where they are responsible for the development of the VIROO platform and is recognized as a Unity Certified Expert. In 2007, they briefly worked as an Operative Systems Teacher at the University of Wales.

Sergio Barrera Mayo holds a Master's degree in Virtual Reality from the University of Deusto, which they obtained in the year 2001. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the same university, earning an Engineer degree in Computing, Software, and Management in the year 2000. Additionally, Sergio has obtained certifications as a Unity Certified Expert Programmer from Unity in December 2022 and as a Unity Certified Expert Gameplay Programmer from Unity Technologies in June 2019.
