Rakesh Kumar is a Senior Director at Vanguard International Semiconductors, focusing on MEMS process technology development and the transfer of technology for high-volume manufacturing. With over 30 years of experience in technology development, project management, and business development, Rakesh has held leadership roles at companies such as GLOBALFOUNDRIES and Skyworks Global Pte. Ltd., where significant advancements in MEMS technology were achieved. Rakesh has published over 90 journal articles and secured more than 20 patents, showcasing a strong commitment to innovation. Currently, Rakesh is also an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, developing an industry-aligned semiconductor manufacturing course for students and professionals. Rakesh holds a PhD in Microelectronics from Nanyang Technological University and is pursuing an MBA alongside a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
