Luan Mai

Luan Mai is a seasoned management consultant and partner at Visagio since October 2017, with expertise in management, optimization, simulation, and machine learning. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD candidate at WASM from January 2014 to July 2017, focusing on developing an optimization model for open pit mine planning. Luan also worked as a mining engineer at Vinacomin Informatics, Technology, Environment. JSC from February 2012 to November 2013, where responsibilities included long-term open pit mine planning, mine design using AutoCAD and Surpac, and project coordination with foreign partners. Earlier in the career, Luan held the position of site manager/mining engineer at MISARC from August 2010 to April 2012, overseeing technical drawings, mining contracts, operational mine planning, and blasting pattern operations. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from Curtin University, a Master's Degree from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology.
