Michael Powell

Michael Powell is a Senior Consultant at Visante. Michael has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including executive positions at major hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Powell began their career in 1979 as an Associate Director at Detroit Receiving Hospital And University Health Center. Michael then became Director at MetroHealth in 1986, and Executive Director, Pharmacy & Nutrition Services at Nebraska Medicine in 2000.

In 2019, Powell served as Interim Chief Pharmacy Executive at the University of California, San Francisco Health before returning to Consultant work at Visante.

After completing their BS at The Ohio State University, Michael Powell pursued a Master of Science at the University of Maryland at Baltimore in Clinical, Hospital, and Managed Care Pharmacy. Michael then went on to complete fellowships in Executive Leadership at both the Health Care Advisory Board and the University of Pennsylvania's Leonard Davis Institute.
