Susan Main

Susan Main is a seasoned arts professional with extensive experience in curation and education. As a Curatorial and Gallery Program Consultant and Gallery Director at VisArts since January 2012, Susan Main specializes in exhibition design, programming, and mentorship across three galleries and transitional art spaces. In December 2018, Susan Main founded and currently directs Cultivate, further enriching the arts community. Additionally, Susan Main serves as adjunct faculty in Painting and Foundations at the Maryland Institute College of Art since 2005 and oversees the MICA Pre-College Studio Residency Program in Tuscany. With a Master of Fine Arts in Interactive Media and Digital Arts and another in Painting from the University of Maryland, Susan Main combines artistic practice with educational leadership.
