Monica Li

Monica Li has extensive experience in the fashion and operations industries. Monica began their career in 2008 as a Design Intern at Linda Asaf Designs, where they assisted with draping, pattern adjustments, sewing, hand sewing, cutting, consultations + design, show room, errands, and photo shoots. Monica also created magazine AD and photo touch ups with Photoshop. In 2010, Monica became a Production Intern at Proenza Schouler, where they assisted the production team in fittings, created fit notes and fit photos, made runs to manufacturing and cutting factories, and helped source materials around NYC. Monica also organized past production samples with pictorial inventory lists, created spec sheets, and Photoshopped fabrics for different colors ways. In 2011, Monica became a Junior Designer at Vintage Couture, Inc., where they designed with two other designers to create four seasons a year. Monica was in charge of all computer aided design. In 2012, Monica founded Emli Shops and also began working as a Freelance Textile, Apparel, and Graphic Designer. In 2013, they joined Viscosity North America as the Director of Operations and later became the Operations & Marketing Manager. Most recently, in 2019, Monica began working as the VP of PR and Marketing on the Executive Committee for the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Exes. Monica also serves as a Board Member.

Monica Li graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a B.S. in Textiles and Apparel, specializing in Apparel Design.
