Gary Haith

Gary Haith has been working in the data science field since 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they were the Manager of the Core Algorithms Research and Development Group at Fair Isaac Corp. Gary then moved to Valen Analytics as the Director of Analytics from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they became Chief Scientist, Data Analytics at Referentia Systems Inc. and was responsible for Data Mining and Predictive Analytics. From 2007 to 2014, they were the Principal Data Scientist at Data Fusion & Neural Networks, where they were the project lead on many projects spanning space weather effects on satellites, event tracker development, performance assessment and closed loop optimization, workflow recognition and analysis, anomaly detection and automated logical and probabilistic situation estimation. In 2009, they were a Consulting Scientist at Flow Operations, and then a Consulting Scientist at Shopping Scout from 2011 to 2013. Gary was also the Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist at Advanced Power Labs (APLIO) from 2014 to 2015. Finally, they were the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Data Scientist at VisibleHand from 2015 to present. At VisibleHand, they have helped care-givers keep behavioral residents and inpatients healthy and safe, and has logged millions of observations on tens of thousands of residents. Theirrole has spanned operations, data science and rapid prototyping.

Gary Haith received their BA in Biological Anthropology from UC San Diego in 1992. Gary then attended Stanford University, where they obtained both a PhD and MA in Psychology and Computational Neuroscience in 1998.
