Rob Rueckert joined Sorenson Capital in 2015 to further expand its existing growth-stage technology practice. Prior to joining Sorenson, Rob spent 14 years at Intel Capital based in Silicon Valley and was a managing director in the consumer technology segment (IoT, wearables, drones, etc..). Rob was a voting member of Intel Capital’s investment committee.

During his tenure at Intel Capital he invested in more than 50 companies across multiple technology sectors (enterprise software, consumer internet, gaming, security, communications, cloud computing and data platforms) and geographies (North America, China, Western and Eastern Europe, India, Israel and New Zealand). Rob was responsible for identifying transformative technology companies where he could invest and work alongside the management teams, primarily in a board capacity, to help the companies grow towards a successful outcome.

At Intel Capital, Rob managed and oversaw more than 20 successful exits from his portfolio, including 4 IPOs and acquisitions by Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft, Fidelity, American Express, Intel and Telefonica.

Some highlights of his investment portfolio include Accertify (acquired by American Express), Perceptive Pixel (acquired by Microsoft) and Datallegro (acquired by Microsoft) as well as active companies Kabam, Nexmo and Betaworks.

Prior to joining Intel Capital, Rob worked as a technology consultant for Arthur Andersen and has worked for several companies in executive roles. Rob has an MBA from the University of Chicago, a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Brigham Young University and is a Kauffman Fellow.
