Gemma Hemming

Gemma Hemming has extensive experience in higher education and publishing, with a strong focus on Italian studies, journal management, and business development. Early roles included a Teaching Assistant at the University of Leeds and various positions in the publishing sector, including editorial and publishing roles at Maney Publishing and Emerald Group Publishing Limited. As a Senior Publisher and Journals Commissioning Lead at Emerald Publishing, Gemma oversaw the strategic development of multiple journal portfolios. Currently, Gemma serves as a Business Development Manager at Vision Properties, focusing on client acquisition and portfolio management. Gemma holds an MA by Research and a PhD in Italian Studies, both from the University of Leeds, along with a BA in Italian Language and Literature.
