João Silva

João Silva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. João started their career as a Clinical Nutritionist and food safety manager specialist, working in both clinical settings and restaurants. During this time, João increased the number of clients and successfully implemented nutritional therapy plans.

João then transitioned into the role of Co-founder and Principal Manager at Porto Customhouse, where they organized innovative events for university students. João successfully planned and implemented the events strategy, negotiated contracts with suppliers, and controlled budgets.

Moving forward, João worked as a Product Manager at My Pocket Nutritionist, where they conceptualized product ideas, conducted market research, and oversaw product development using Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

João's next role was at Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa, where they served as an Invited Professor of Health Technology and Innovation. João led a group of students, developed a module on Information and Communication Technologies in health, and planned and evaluated the module's success.

After that, João worked as a Product Manager at Newton Labs, where they formulated strategic direction, developed the global strategic plan, and defined product roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams.

João then worked as a Product Manager at E-Boat, where they drove product and business-planning processes, analyzed market trends, and determined product requirements to meet clients' needs.

Most recently, João joined VisionTechLab as a European Funds Consultant, where they screened funding opportunities, evaluated eligibility conditions, and provided advice and support to clients on European Funds applications.

Throughout their career, João has demonstrated expertise in product management, strategic planning, project coordination, and teaching, highlighting their adaptability and ability to excel in different roles and industries.

João Silva's education history can be summarized as follows:

João Silva completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nutrition Sciences from the Faculdade de Ciências da Nutrição e Alimentação da Universidade do Porto between 2001 and 2006.

João then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from three different institutions: Porto Business School, IE Business School, and Texas McCombs School of Business. João attended these schools from 2015 to 2017.

Currently, João Silva is pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science and Informatics Engineering degree at the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, starting in 2021.

Additionally, João Silva has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they received the CPC - Certificate of Pedagogical Competencies from WPM - World Project Management - Consultadoria e Formação, Lda. In 2010, they obtained the English Proficiency Official Certificate from City School - Portugal. Furthermore, in 2017, they earned the Android Google Developer certification from Udacity. João also participated in the Bertelsmann Data Science Scholarship's Challenge in 2018 and the Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship's Introduction to AI in Business Challenge Course in 2020, both offered by Udacity.
