Emily Barany has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2003 as a Research Associate at TCB Consulting Services, where they conducted political investigations and vulnerability studies. In 2007, they became an Executive Director and Assistant to the Committee at Housing Opportunities Made Easier, as well as a Conference Coordinator for the Annual Ventura County Housing Conference. Emily also held positions as a Marketing Intern at Westlake Marketing Works and a Project Coordinator at Dyer Sheehan Group, Inc. In 2011, they founded VISIONALITY Partners and EDGE Seminars & Workshops. In 2017, they co-founded Thomas Fire Help, and in 2018, they founded CONNECTD, which uses technology to capture the human reaction to help one's neighbor after a disaster.
Emily Barany attended California Lutheran University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelors degree in Communication, German, and Philosophy.
