Simon Kmetic

Simon Kmetic has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Simon currently works as a Senior Frontend Developer at Visionect since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Director, Owner, and Developer at C-mon, Simon Kmetic s.p., Informacijske storitve from 2017 to the present, where they provided web development services using various technologies. Simon also worked as a Senior Frontend Developer at globaliD Inc from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, Simon worked as a Full Stack Developer at Kupi d.o.o. from 2018 to 2019, and as a Software Developer at Inap d.o.o. from 2017 to 2017. Before entering the corporate world, they gained experience as a Teacher of Computing and Maintainer of Educational Technology at Srednja tehniška in poklicna šola Trbovlje, and as a System Administrator at ZD Trbovlje (Health Centre). Simon's career started as a Computer Repair Technician at RSH d.o.o. from 2001 to 2004.

Simon Kmetic completed their education at multiple institutions. Simon attended SC Velenje Višja strokovna šola from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Inženir informatike (Information science engineer) in the field of Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Prior to that, they attended Srednja šola za elektrotehniko in gostinstvo Zagorje ob Savi and graduated in 1996 with a degree in elektrotehnik elektrotehnik, specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Additionally, Simon Kmetic obtained several certifications from the CISCO Networking Academy at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. In 2012, they completed the CCNA Exploration: Accessing the WAN certification. In 2011, they obtained the CCNA Exploration: Lan Switching and Wireless, CCNA Exploration: Routing Protocols and Concepts, and CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals certifications.
