Michael Meyer

CTO at VisionGate

Michael Meyer has over 20 years of experience in technology executive roles. Michael began their career in 1980 as a Staff Engineer at IBM, where they worked on hard disk-file engineering. In 1992, they moved to NeoPath, Redmond Washington as Manager of Algorithm Development, and was part of the team that developed the FocalPoint system, an automated system for detecting cell abnormalities in Pap smear slides. In 2004, they joined VisionGate as Vice President of Image Engineering, and was responsible for defining the technical strategy and assembling a team to create 3D cell reconstructions and two new clinical tests. In 2011, they became the CTO of VisionGate, Inc., where they set the overall technical strategy and was the chief architect of the LuCED test for early detection of lung cancer. Michael also assembled the technical team and Cell-CT lab, responsible for collecting data on their devices to support their various clinical initiatives.

Michael Meyer obtained their B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1980. Michael then went on to pursue a MSEE in Engineering in Medicine from the University of Washington, which they completed in 1992.
